Many people have contacted me and asked a familiar question. "How can I live a passionate life if the people around me are negative and uninterested?"
Although the answer to this dilemma is not simple, it can be accomplished with some time and planning.
- Lead by example - Instead of trying to explain to others how you are feeling and what you are doing, show them with your actions. If you are joyous and productive in your daily life others will observe that and be curious. By staying calm and happy you can influence the angry, noisy and otherwise unhappy people to see what you are up to.
- Invite others to share in what you are doing in your life that is making such a difference. By including other people in your activities they are more likely to be open to the changes you are experiecing in your life. People around you will respond to your efforts in showing them what you are learning and discovering.
- Set aside time for yourself every day - This can be a quiet time that you schedule into your day, every day. Use this time to think, write, read, meditate or do anything else that will further your passions. The people around you will get used to this time very quickly and will even remind others not to interrupt you.
Living a passionate life takes time, effort, and planning. Do whatever you need in order to give yourself this opportunity to have a life you love.
