This weekend I spent two days working at a leadership camp with more than 100 teenagers. It was rewarding because they needed adults to talk to them and to lead them through the various activities. They had breakthroughs that may have taken them years to achieve otherwise.
I had been invited to a conference in San Francisco that I truly wanted to attend. It would have promoted my writing and online marketing efforts, but I had already commited to working with the teens. As I cleaned up the dining hall this morning before leaving, working side by side with the kids I had just spent so much time with, I realized that being of service was more important to me than anything else that I do.
Find yourself and reinvent your life as you spend time in service to others. If you are anything like me, you will see your life so much more clearly after spending time helping others whose lives will be changed forever.
